Shell's 2012 Alaskan Arctic programme descended into a series of setbacks. On 8th March, 2013 the U.S. Department of the Interior published a review on Shell's Arctic operations. This briefing sets out key extracts from the Review highlighting issues which should be of concern to Shell shareholders and the differences between Shell's own reporting of its 2012 Arctic operations in its annual report on the one hand and the Review on the other.
